Alex Ho on The Value of Relational Leadership in the Face of Adversity
In 2015, the Dedicated to Aurora’s Wellness and Needs (DAWN) Clinic in Aurora, CO was created as a joint venture between the Fields Foundation and Primary Care Progress. In 2020, COVID-19 posed a significant challenge: how could the interdisciplinary student-run free clinic safely and efficiently meet the needs of Aurora's underserved populations during the pandemic? Hear how PCP Team Leader Alex Ho and his colleagues used Relational Leadership (RL) to collaboratively create and implement a telehealth program, and the ways Alex has brought RL into his work in developing a pipeline program for underrepresented students in medicine with the Colorado University Anschutz Medical Campus' Office of Inclusion and Outreach.
